H.E. Mr. Su Ning, Deputy of the Central Bank of the People's Republic of China, attended the International Seminar in Tallinn

         On May 23, 2007, H.E. Mr. Su Ning, Deputy of the Central Bank of the People's Republic of China attended the International Seminar on Opportunities of the European Economy Global Competition in Tallinn, the Capital of the Republic of Estonia, organized by Estonian Central Bank. H.E. Mad. Xie Junping, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China in Estonia also attended the Seminar. There are more than 100 experts participated in the Seminar.

         H.E. Mr. Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Republic of Estonia opened the International Seminar. H.E. Mr. Andrus Ansip, Prime Minister of the Government of Estonia made a speech at the concluding session of the Seminar. Officials from the European Commission and European Central Bank made keynote speeches at the Seminar. The Seminar focused on the challenges and opportunities that European Union faces in the process of economic globalization. All participants held that technology innovation and human resources are essential to the European economy. EU enlargement was considered as a positive impetus for the economic growth of EU at the seminar; therefore participants were pledged to facilitate the unification of European economy.

         H.E. Mr. Su Ning gave his presentation on China's finance reform and the Sino-European trade cooperation.
