Minister of Culture and Tourism visits Estonia

On 18-20 October, at the invitation of the Estonian Minister of Culture, China's Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr. Luo Shugang visited Estonia.

During his visit, Mr. Luo Shugang met with Estonian Minister of Culture, Mr. Tõnis Lukas, Director of Estonian Tourist Board, Mr. Margus Sameli, Director general of National Heritage Board, Mr. Siim Raie, Mayor of Tallinn, Mr. Mihhail Kõlvart and Mayor of Tartu, Mr. Urmas Klaas.

Mr. Luo Shugang spoke highly of the accomplishment by two countries in culture and tourism, and hoped under China’s initiative of One Belt One Road and the framework of China-Central and Eastern Europe cooperation, Estonia and China could work together to promote bilateral exchanges and expand practical cooperation. “We would elevate cultural and tourism cooperation to a higher level.” Luo emphasized. Mr. Tõnis Lukas appreciates China’s effort in pushing forward cultural and tourism cooperation, expressed his expectation of closer collaboration in the future and his interests in co-hosting better “Happy Spring Festival” events.

Chinese Ambassador Mr. Li Chao, counselor Mr. Ma Taotao attended the above meetings.
