The Celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year in Tallinn

The celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year in Tallinn will take place on Saturday, 24 January, at 12 o'clock in Kadriorg Park. This celebration is organized by the Tallinn City government in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Estonia, Cultural office of the city government of Beijing and Tallinn light festival.

Prepared by the Chinese guests, the program will consist of vigorous dances of dragon and lion, traditional dances with fans and lanterns performed by girls' dance ensemble of the 2nd school of Beijing. The program also includes the Chinese Wushu and the authentic Chinese puppet performed by the Chinese puppet theatre.  The Korean ensemble belonging to the society "Lira" will perform the traditional Korean program "Ariran" too.

The park will be decorated with 12 ice animal (Chinese zodiac) figures and a Chinese market will also be opened so that one can try oriental dishes and delicacies. Welcome to the celebration and the schedule of the celebration follows as:
